SLow performance in evaluation on Mac?

I really love this app, but I'm experiencing long "spinning pizza" waits. For example, when I select a tool, the app will (sometimes) pause for 60 to 90 seconds. Will this behavior go away when I buy a license? (I'm running Pro in evaluation mode).
OS X 10.4.9

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz

Hmmm, this doesn't seem normal. I'm not using a Mac, but there are ppl here that do and I've yet to hear them mention something like this, what makes it worse is the fact that it sounds like it is somehow random.
Have you tried reinstalling the software? How many other applications do you have running in the background? (Including antivirus / firewall, any other items).

Mac so no expert here !What you say sounds strange and should not be
happening. Have you 'Use Fast Feedback' switched
on ? I think I remember being advised to leave
this option switched off.It can be located in Prefs and I'm attaching a
screen shot.

Thanks, guys. Once the evaluation expired, things have come back up to speed. I'll have to assume that the eval was doing it.
