Thanks solo. I think i'll learn a lot here. I already downloaded sketchyphysics.

Hi Daniel,
Welcome! As Pete (solo) says, feel at home and browse around. Also don't hesitate to ask if you need help either with SU related stuff or navigating around the forums.

hi there.
i've been using sketchup for a few years but this is the first time posting on this site. I just discovered it a few months ago and have been voraciously reading all the posts and installing scripts! i work in video games, film and television and absolutley love sketchup. just wanted to introduce myself and let the members of this board know how much i've learned in such a short time!
-
Whoah!!!!
Awesome images on your site!
I believe i can learn from you.
You are very welcome here, I love your work.
-
thanks! i'm mostly a photoshop painter, but as time has progressed, i've found that doing sketchup, then a render, and then post processing/painting in photoshop gives me great results. I'd really like to get more into the photoreal rendering. I'm using vray at the moment, but am always exploring...i just downloaded kerkythea(sp?). the stuff on my site is kinda old...so when some of the stuff i've worked on comes out, i'll update! It is more sketchup-render-paint stuff. I'm really inspired by the stuff you've done solo, and others here as well...so i'm excited to start exchanging some info!
thanks again!

Are you a member here now? Then it's your forum as well, not anyone else's of the (currently 6312) members exclusively!
Look up at the "name" of the site: "SketchUp Community Forums"! And you are a member of the community - however new!
So welcome among "us" again!

Hey everybody,
I'm new at this forum.I'm only working with sketchup for about 6 months, mostly designing architecture, interiors and kitchens.I'm an interior designer. I just discovered this forum, and I'm sure it's going to be a great help. I already saw the tutorial-part, now I can finally find how to make a kitchen sink! Can't figure out how to make the roundings on my own..
Sorry if my English isn't that good..
Grtz
Nijnka -
If you check out the runy forum theres a great script that i reckon would make doing the rounded edges very easy, its called "round edges by bezier" or sometihng like that. Alternatively you might want to try the follow me tool.

Hi there,
My name is Ward, 26 years old.
I've been working with SketchUp for a year or so. A few of my models have been placed in the 3d layer of GoogleEarth.
Ever since I visited New York I started growing interest in architecture. I like designing buildings and reading about architecture!Regards, Ward

Hi I'd quickly like to introduce myself. I am a user of SketchUp Pro/Google Earth at the SketchUp office in Boulder. I have been building georeferenced models for GE for a little over a year and a half, and have been very much enjoying it.
I hope to be an active member of the SCF and contribute some knowledge, and probably find out a thing or two from you all. Thanks for creating such a useful and creative forums!
See you around,
Zach -
Welcome Cerevellum, hope you have a great time here as I'm sure you will.

Hello All! I thought I would introduce myself. I have been using Sketchup for about 3 years but only recently for use at work. I attended the 3D Basecamp last week and that was an incredible experience to say the least.
I love forums and am quite involved in some other forums that cater to my interests and so I hope to become a regular here. I would like to be able to help answer questions as well as ask some of my own.
I started a blog a few months ago relating to the use of sketchup in the context of civil engineering. After this last week I realized the uses I have for Sketchup as a civil engineer are quite similar to those of an architect or landscape architect. I work for a city and basically, I use the software to display the designs of our projects to the public. I have also been working on creating a 3d Model of our city and exploring all other uses for sketchup and Google Earth.
Anyway, that's me. Feel free to check out my blog if you want. I am looking for others to contribute to the blog as well so let me know if you would like to contribute.

Thanks,
Jason Wuertz
