thanks! i'm mostly a photoshop painter, but as time has progressed, i've found that doing sketchup, then a render, and then post processing/painting in photoshop gives me great results. I'd really like to get more into the photoreal rendering. I'm using vray at the moment, but am always exploring...i just downloaded kerkythea(sp?). the stuff on my site is kinda old...so when some of the stuff i've worked on comes out, i'll update! It is more sketchup-render-paint stuff. I'm really inspired by the stuff you've done solo, and others here as well...so i'm excited to start exchanging some info!

          thanks again!

                    Hey everybody,

I'm new at this forum.I'm only working with sketchup for about 6 months, mostly designing architecture, interiors and kitchens.I'm an interior designer. I just discovered this forum, and I'm sure it's going to be a great help. I already saw the tutorial-part, now I can finally find how to make a kitchen sink! Can't figure out how to make the roundings on my own..

Sorry if my English isn't that good..

If you check out the runy forum theres a great script that i reckon would make doing the rounded edges very easy, its called "round edges by bezier" or sometihng like that. Alternatively you might want to try the follow me tool.

                                Hi there,

My name is Ward, 26 years old.
I've been working with SketchUp for a year or so. A few of my models have been placed in the 3d layer of GoogleEarth.
Ever since I visited New York I started growing interest in architecture. I like designing buildings and reading about architecture!

Hi I'd quickly like to introduce myself. I am a user of SketchUp Pro/Google Earth at the SketchUp office in Boulder. I have been building georeferenced models for GE for a little over a year and a half, and have been very much enjoying it.

I hope to be an active member of the SCF and contribute some knowledge, and probably find out a thing or two from you all. Thanks for creating such a useful and creative forums!

Hello All! I thought I would introduce myself. I have been using Sketchup for about 3 years but only recently for use at work. I attended the 3D Basecamp last week and that was an incredible experience to say the least.

I love forums and am quite involved in some other forums that cater to my interests and so I hope to become a regular here. I would like to be able to help answer questions as well as ask some of my own.

I started a blog a few months ago relating to the use of sketchup in the context of civil engineering. After this last week I realized the uses I have for Sketchup as a civil engineer are quite similar to those of an architect or landscape architect. I work for a city and basically, I use the software to display the designs of our projects to the public. I have also been working on creating a 3d Model of our city and exploring all other uses for sketchup and Google Earth.

Anyway, that's me. Feel free to check out my blog if you want. I am looking for others to contribute to the blog as well so let me know if you would like to contribute.

Sketchup is becoming a very popular program and tool for many different uses. Architects, interior designers, graphic artists... It also has its place in civil engineering. This blog is to share the things that I am learning about sketchup and for you all to post suggestions and your ideas. If you have an idea, email it to me and I can post your idea with pictures or video.

                                          Hi to everyone,

Im really glad to join here. Anyway, I joined here in my journey to try my hands in vray or kerykythea stuff as I find some works there and mixed with skecthup's sketchy style would work great(I think, I havent tried it yet).

The problem is I never plungged my hands into these photorealistic rendering ever before especially when sketchup came out (i use to draw manually with my presentations before and render it with photoshop or plain water color).

Is there any topic here that could help me start out?

Thanks. Hope I could contribute more soon as well.

Hi tesmeko and welcome to the forums!

I think for different render techniques as well as mixing them, you should really browse the Gallery. I remember Pete (solo) having made some really stunning mixtures of edge style output from SU combined with PR renders from Podium.

There was no particular tutorial about it however; he just combined the two images in PS (which - as you write above - I assume you can handle).
