Alright, my first experience with an air fryer qhich I acquired on the last black Friday event. A ninja 451 UK with brassy bits.
I have to admit to a certain scepticism regarding air fryers so it took a lot of research before I took the plunge and results are mixed.
Like most new things, operator error and old style recipes which have little or no adjustment to things like weight/cooking time which would really help but guesswork go me most of the way there.
A near 2kg turkey crown and roast veg/spuds in about 50 minutes is not bad if I do say so, a little peeved at the crispy nature of the finished product, I will have to work out how to reduce that level of crunch even on the roast setting but time will be the key.
The neighbour upstairs was very happy with her dinner and desert which was courtesy of Lidl just up the road. Cannot complain as long as we are adaptable slightly and do not get precious about brand names.
A convert? Not sure but having managed with a slow cooker and toaster combo for a bit over 8 years, it is a step up.

My Doctor specialises in reversing diabetes and is quite famous and has a you tube channel. If you are using the fryer to eat less fat please do some research on the latest findings on the good fat vs carbs debate

Quite au fait with saturated and non saturated fats mate. I agree totally as the cardiac and stroke threat is real especially when we get on in life.
Nothing is quite so simple as it first appears but this does seem to be a piece of kit that just works. I did the Turkey crown and roast veggies in a little under an hour and both heating zones 'Synch' so they are ready at the same time. A rather handy piece of programming inho.
I will hopefully improve as I gain expeirence but frankly, I am, very happy to NOT have a standard oven.
