Yeah it is Magid intentionally, as Majid is pronounced similar to magic...
Thanks for that info. I was pronouncing like Maheed.
-
nice work! does she really only have one arm?
-
Ah, I just realized that... It was really tough to reach 100percent similarity using watercolor, and this is the reference photo:

Happy New Year all!
I wish you a very happy healthy wealthy new year!
Some new watercolors.
-
Very beautiful indeed.
-
Thank you Dave! It seems I am getting better at it.

On Jan 24th we delivered our project "SportyVerse" and received the certificate of course completion on 26th. Now I am living in Munich, for just a few weeks, applying for a proper job (as an architect, CAD/BIM specialist or rendering expert in Germany / Netherlands).
So less spare time. Today I had the chance to spare some time and do this. The Basilica of Saint Nicholas in Amsterdam is one of my favorites.
-
I wish my mind could conceive things like this.
Again,
BTW: Good luck in Munich.
-
Thank you, Dave!
Munich is charming city also, and more color in the sky,... I was stuffed with grayish sky -
Last day came across the St. Johann Baptist church, near my brother's stay. Did this for a friend in Munich.
-
Great pictures mate, hugely talented.
-
Thank you dear Mike.
Just spared some time to do some modeling and rendering as a fun task.

Last one and a half months I have been busy applying and constantly job hunting living in Solln, Munich. Today I spared some time to make this.
-
@majid
As usual, Majid - nice work. I wish I had the talent to generate something like this. -
@ntxdave
I spent a couple of years in Germany while I was in the US army (late 1966 to late 1968) and I think I drove through Munich but am not sure. -
@ntxdave really?
I was mainly in Solln, far from downtown, and it was a cozy place. -
@majid nicely done! when you see it in the maps, it's not as pretty though LOL.
-
@gullfo Wow , good job Glen, I changed the composition somehow and it is not yet the best I am wondering how did you found the exact spot!
This is the photo I used, and as you see I have changed the colors, light direction, and somehow the composition....
-
@majid secret spy technology called google maps plus you mentioned where you were staying so finding a garibaldi store was fairly easy...
-
@gullfo , without a clue (GARIBALDI), Google Maps wouldn't help you, you have keen eyes on details.
Also contrary to public belief, I realized German people are very friendly. I went to a bookstore, near the GARIBALDI, talking with the bookseller lady about art books, etc, we became friends! She invited me to their villa near Uffing! His wife Reinhold also was a children's books illustrator. for dinner we met another cartoonist and his wife, We met twice again in Solln, she introduced other friends, and now feel old friends!
