[plugin] Slope Markers V2.0
-
We (slb_jwm) have just published V2.0 of the Slope Marker extension in the Plugin Store. This update adds two important new features:
-
It colors the markers based on their relationship to configurable minimum and maximum allowable slopes, providing quick visual identification of whether slopes meet requirements.
-
It provides an Overlay (SketchUp 2023 and later only) that draws colors over selected faces and edges showing their slopes and also labels them with their textual values. The Overlay detects changes to the edges or faces and immediately redraws the coloring and labels, allowing feedback as you edit the model using other tools.

For a quick and easy install hit the clipboard icon and paste the following...
pln=Slope_Marker
Error; #<NameError; uninitialized constant SLB_JWMPlugins;;SlopeMarkers;;SlopeMarker;;SlopeOverlay> C;/Users/Da Beast 2022/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2022/SketchUp/Plugins/SLB_JWM_Slope_Markers/user_parameters.rb;406;in `get_parameter_values' C;/Users/Da Beast 2022/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2022/SketchUp/Plugins/SLB_JWM_Slope_Markers/slope_marker_tool.rb;310;in `block in <module;SlopeMarkers>'
Configure outputs a ruby error. On first install I got to the following...
-
If you had version 1 installed, that message is expected because the data saved to the defaults has changed. I should no doubt add that to the documentation.

Hi,
I've installed the plugin and got the same message as Rich. Uninstalled and re-installed, then I have always the same message:
Do we have to click on a tooltip to make it work ? And there's no help file (or I didn't find it).
Clicking on 'Configure' outputs that in the Ruby console:
Error; #<NameError; uninitialized constant SLB_JWMPlugins;;SlopeMarkers;;SlopeOverlay> c;/users/dbur/appdata/roaming/sketchup/sketchup 2020/sketchup/plugins/slb_jwm_slope_markers/user_parameters.rbe;406;in `get_parameter_values' c;/users/dbur/appdata/roaming/sketchup/sketchup 2020/sketchup/plugins/slb_jwm_slope_markers/slope_marker_tool.rbe;310;in `block in <module;SlopeMarkers>'
The overlay toolbar displays no icon and launches no action.
Please help, because I need it
