Drive an object

I'm working on the fabulous 'railroad system' plugin by Julia Eneroth (2014) but I can't make any Ruby modifications (new tracks) for an API obsolescence problem. Does anyone have an idea or is there a similar plugin allowing me to 'drive' objects, cars, trains... (without scenes)?

What do you mean by "API obsolescence problem"? Are you still using SketchUp 2015 as indicated in your profile?
