3d warehouse importing frozen
-
Hi all, hope to get some help here.
I am using sketch up pro ( lastest version) with MacBook Pro M2 max (high spec)
I using sketch up for interiors design work mostly. I use to have a lot of problem when I using MacBook Pro (intel) with sketch up when rendering with vray.( it crashed like daily routine)
After reading some much good review on the new m1/m2 chip decided to pull the trigger.
The vray rendering part seem to be improved dramatically, will test it more coming days.
I have a major issue and hope I can get some help here.
When ever my model get complex , or after I have downloaded lot of stuff into my model from 3d warehouse, it become extremely slow and get to a point where it hang, frozen.
Is there something I had been missing ?
Is there anything I can do on setting to maximum sketch up performance with my high spec MacBook Pro m2 max ?
I am wrong about believing in sketch up pro/ vray 6 is highly compatible with Mac OS ?

That's likely the issue. 3DWH models can be unchartered territory in terms of 'optimized for sketchup'.
Your performance issue may not be a Mac M1/2 only issue. Filesize will tell you alot about your file.
Also Purge is your friend.

I did purge, it didn’t help .
What are the thing to look for when Downloading from 3dwh ?
I do understand file size slow down the performance .But my problem is the downloading . It hang when my model got bigger, and even the smallest file downloading will hang my system .

What is the size of the file your are experiencing performance issues?
