Dave, exporting DWGs from layout is everything but precise. Actually I do use Layout for my documents but when CAD files need to be send to my engineers of other specialties I need precise dimensions. 2D DWG export works fine and I use ACAD to stack plans one over others to do my job. I need to automate this process.

They don't need to be imprecise. I'd guess it's an incorrect setup that could be fixed. It would be interesting to see a LayOut file that gives you this imprecise export.
