Lord of the Toolbar will expire on end of May.
Then it will be for payment?Is there a free alternative?

I will publish an updated version soon, and anyway before 31 May.
LOTT will remain free. It is more an experimental plugin to investigate some means to handle a large number of plugins and manage history of commands.
As an alternative, you have Pie Menu by Rich O Brien, which is another approach to configure command icons.

Into the palette of Lord of the Toolbars, the Pie Tools doesn't work.
