I am drawing a power hacksaw type design and just started working with animator. Is there a way to do a connecting rod type of motion? one end on a sliding shaft and the other end following a circular path.

so the animator is only for motion animation, not for physical formulas...(although I've worked in it a bit myself). Take a closer look at the MSPhysics plugin, that's where you can play with your movements to your heart's content))
