      GHi all, this was on a facebook post I just visited. Beautifull work ❗
      Workflow is Sketchup to Twinmotion with some post production.

          Yes Bryan superb work, and just a bit humbling to me. I think there are some take aways for me.

          All the models are so well chosen

          Materials and material/textures, setting, bump maps hieght maps and reflections, so well balanced.

          But one thing I have always thought about is the "blown out" exposure following the rules of a real camera automatically ajusting the apature foe an average of 18% grey Thats why the lighting is so good 👍 https://www.greatphotography.com/blog/2016/6/14/18-gray-the-middle-value#:~:text=By%20definition%2018%25%20gray%20is,halfway%20between%20black%20and%20white.&text=The%20same%20situation%20applies%20if,using%20for%20a%20spot%20reading.

              Good question, I will attemp to answer it............I think in this caase there are 2 distinct lihgting conditions. One being the subdued artificial interior lighting. And Two being lighting comming in from the Sun from outside. The interior would have a fairly warm colour temperature and the Camera or your eyes would step down the iris of your eyes or the cameras apature In this case the Camera to get the right exposure takes into account the whole frame and tries for the 18% grey average.....But the area of the outside sunlight is just a very small portion of the sample. The photagrapher or a very intelligent camera would shut the aperture down an f stop to compensate in order to get the right exposure of the interior as that is the subject.

              I think this person in order to emulate a real photo put a vertical "area light"(outside) and ajusted it to pretty high and further increased the colour temperature to that of the Sun. I am thinking that he just played around with those values until it was about what he wanted. I would wager he has studied photography.

                I forgot to mention the reason the Sun would have a much higher color temperature than normal is that both your eyes and a digital camera have a white light ajustment, so both your eyes and the camera would set to the interior colour temperature, so the sunlight would seem to be much higher in comparison

                  Back to the point… its a wonderful image. What I wonder about on these top of the line images is just how much post pro they put into them. Would love to see a “straight” out of the render engine and then the final image after post work.

                    Fair point mate, I requested an SU shot and a pre post production render of the author on the facebook page but he did not seem willing to do so. No reply

                    The workflow was quoted as "Workflow: SketchUp, Twinmotion 2022.1 (Skydome & PT on)
