SKP FILE WITH CROSSHATCHED FACES ETC

Why would a skp file exhibit such unexpected behavior such as the one I attached? Not only is the object's skin splotchy, but the scene transition is exaggerated. Same thing happens on different computers.

You have the camera set to Parallel Projection and it's miles from the model. If the calculation is correct, more than 69,200 miles or about 273 times farther away than the ISS is from Earth. Switch to Perspective and press Zoom Extents. Then if you have to have your view in Parallel Projection, switch back and update your scenes. I did that here. Click on the picture to see the animation.
Compare the X and Y values in the Eye field for the camera. Those values are so huge in your setup that the Z value doesn't even show.

That's crazy.
