Old Stuff: SUbD Hornet with hair using Skatter 1.3 - 2016

Back then... model build with new hair tests using Skatter 1.3, which had just come out.
Insect built using SUbD... my first real project with SUbD.
First four images are the remake of the head with shorter Skatter hair, all others are the first attempts.

Very nice, and an unusual subject
I could go on forever about what is good about it, only thing is DOF would play a massive influence on these ultra small focal length macro shots. I would doubt if you would Get the whole wasp in focus never mind the any background at all. It should be a very blurred unreadable background

I always intended to return to this for "renders" and never found the time. These were just test images to confirm the working Skatter. But, you are right.
I did use this model only once, after this stage with some plants, that ended up with the DOF. But, it was more about the plants than the bugs.
