Any plans for right click menu as well?
For native commands, like explode, hide, ..., there are special icons defined which you can put in palettes.
For others, coming from plugins, this is supported on Windows. You define a Personal Command pointing to the menu, assign it an icon, and it becomes a command icon which can be inserted in palettes or custom toolbars.
Maybe I'm not clear enough.. I'm talking about right click menu SU have (see attached I found on Web, mine is 3 times longer). Just because every plugin author thinks its a good idea to add his new entity and there's still no RCM editor (Trimble is too busy playing with logos) -RCM (its size and order) got out of control.
If only your upcoming plugin could edit RCM as well...

Well done Fredo.
This will bring some sanity to the heavy duty users that are struggling with diminishing screen real-estate. I've only one question. Do you know something we don't?

I always care about future compatibility...

Fredo, I laughed when I saw your cursor hovering over 2091 for a second. I took the bait. Alas all here will be long gone by the time 2091 comes. I was at my local Planning Department yesterday lodging a planning application. I got talking to one of the staff and they proudly directed me to a lovely model of Ennis (my town) showing a whole load to new municipal projects that are in the pipeline. I was impressed to say the least. I then asked about the time line ..... the guy said it was planned for 2040! I said maybe my grandchildren should be looking at the model! I think he got my point.

A coward question from June 2021 (in 2091 I guess it'd be slightlyless important for me): Will the tool let save the initial toolbar state before starting the carnival?
-
WOW!

Bravo Fredo!!
I was always needed this tool to keep my mental health with the evergrowing plugins and their palettes.
This little gem (better to say the Koh-I-Noor itself) with all the possible personalization possibilities is a huge help. I was watching the video with my mouth open discovering more and more and more features...A big thank you, indeed!
-
Downloaded, first impressions- wow, huge step forward in quality of life. Many thanks Fredo!
A couple of things I noticed so far:- Clean mode with 2 displays.. It always starts on the left monitor. Could it start where SU currently is (on the right monitor in my case)
- Command search. Could it, at least as option, pop-up (after shortcut) close to cursor and auto-disappear after needed command was chosen? Please take look:
https://youtu.be/TlGaB4DtGEw?t=115 @1.55
Naturally user is focused in cursor, so its way more comfortable to work as shown in video. - Search by fragment of the name works consistently well if "*" is used: *UV will show SketchUV, while UV alone- will not. May it be tweaked?
- Command search. Could lastly chosen be suggested firstly if the same search was typed again?
- Repeat last command. Another plugin author created similar tool and made one genius thing- he somehow assigned double space bar shortcut to it. Unfortunately his plugin could not be used because it greys out RC menu So could you implement double spacebar idea in your plugin?
- Another idea: Could command search show user's shortcuts next to suggested commands?
Thanks for attention

First problem: at some I've lost this 'vignette stripe'. I tried everything: reset factory,
uninstall-reinstall plugin+fredolib- nothing. BTW no problems in ruby console. Trying to get it via shortcut flashes red sand clock for a fraction of second. Any idea how to get it back
P.S. I don't know if its related, single time only the toolbars didn't got back after 'clean mode'- I just restarted the program. -

P.S. I don't know if its related, single time only the toolbars didn't got back after 'clean mode'- I just restarted the program. There is a menu entry for toggling the visibility of the Vignette Stripe. Otherwise, it might be off screen, in which case I don't have an elegant solution because the Vignette Stripe remembers its position. Possibily, you may have to go to the folder
C:\Users<your username>\AppData\Local\LIBFREDO6_DATA_Dir\Vaults
In this folder there are files with name LibFredo6_HtmlDialog_SU2020_RT125.dat, one for each version of Sketchup and Scale factor (above SU2020 and scale 1.25). This is where the configuration of each dialog is stored. If you delete the file, then you reset the position of ALL dialogs, including the vignette stripe.
Do you have multiple screen?

yes, dual screen (see p.1 2 posts above). I'll play with vaults, thanks for suggestion!

Another piece of quality coding by Fredo. I'm looking forward to trying it especially if I can put a group of icons on might right hand screen.
TBH I'm surprised as sketchup developed, no one thought about control toolbars like the tray idea. If I could organise plugins by maker in a tray I'd be a happy camper.
-
I thought about "Fredo tray" too. It could include standard elements like tags, entity info etc plus new ones - vignette,LOTT toolbar, history and optionally command search (I still would prefer it glued to cursor though).
Edit: BTW the update didn't bring vignette back, I solved it by deletig volts files- thank you for solution! -
I'd prefer to see one-line (per command) search results instead of two. When command name is too popular user gets a mile-long results list which one line design could cut in half. Plus it's way easier to find the needed command.
P.S. Could history color setting by applied to command search as well? It'd aestetically unify plugin elements (and kill this nasty white where its possible)
Thanks -

ThanksEach item is on a single line. But if the text is too long for the width of the dialog, it wraps to the next line
-
Usage: Free for the time being
What price would we be looking at if this plugin is going to be a cost after Expiration on: 31 Jul 2021... or would it still be free with a upgrade. -

I have not decided whether and when LOTT would become a paid plugin. In any case, it should no more than $7 for a perpetual license, 3 seats, with a 30 days free trial period.

Fredo please, if possible, implementtoolbars dropping out in upward direction. I'd like to keep the vignette at the bottom thus I need the custom toolbars to pop-UP upward. For bigger screens its better solution. Thank you.
