Layout crashes after every change in layoout

Hello sketchucation
i have a serious issue with layout.
After I transfer a 2D Drawing into layout and make a change to it like adding a text box, or updating an existing text box, layout crashes, every-time. In order to to get the drawing completed i need to re-open the file and make a change, save it and then try make another change which causes layout to crash and then reopen it and make another change and save it etc. which as you can imagine is really time consuming.
i am running a on a MAC. using skethchup pro 2015 and layout version is 15.3.329
please help

What version of the Mac OS are you using?
Are you getting Bug Splats when LayOut crashes? If so, are you sending them in?
Maybe you could share the LayOut file so we can take a look and see if there's something about the file that needs fixing.

Also your description begs the question: Is this happening to every file you work on in LO or just ones into which you have put this 2d drawing (what is it? a pdf?)--or any 2d drawings?
