Copy and move / rotate at the same time

Which plugin is able to make a desired number of copies while repeating a determined spatial shift? Kind of like the steps of a spiral staircase are copies of each other, but all varying in height and rotation.

Thank you Box for this so fast given and good tip - I'm already testing, since I'm not checking the input parameters right yet
It would be great if I could tackle any source geometry at 3 points in order to assign these 3 points to any new target as a copy, possibly supplemented by the option of repeating this operation e.g. 10 times...
