Extension Manager 2021
-
I have Sketchup 2019, 2020, and 2021 installed on my laptop. I used the Extension Manager on version 2021 to update 3 plugins that were indicated they needed to be updated. Went well, no problems.
I then went to 2020 to update these plugins. The Extension Manager did not indicate that there were plugins that needed to be updated.
Went to 2019, the same thing. No plugins needed to be updated.
Question. Has the Extension Manager updated all the needed updated plugins in all three versions of Sketchup or has the Extension Manager just update itself, and indicates all the plugins are updated in all three versions of Sketchup, and in reality, the plugins are only updated in the 2021 version?
Thanks in advance for your help.

No. The extensions for each version are in separate folders. What extensions were updated?

Here is the list.

If you are continuing to use SketchUp 2019 and 2020, you should go in and update those extensions for those versions, too.
Remember that each version of SketchUp has its own Plugins folder and gets treated as a separate program. They almost might as well be on different computers. (Except that keyboard shortcuts from the previous version are read during install of a new version so they come over automatically.)

Dave, I have each program in their separate folder. However, I did notice that the colors in the Extension Manager 2021 are red and they are blue in 2020 and 2019.
Going to update them manually.
Thanks for the help.

Maybe the other way around? With the release of SU2021 the logos and things like the buttons and switches in the Extension Warehouse and Extension Manager are now blue instead of red.

Not winning with you. Interesting choice of colors for now. Red and Blue. Is there some hidden message?

I'm not sure what you are getting at. Trimble changed their logo colors and the colors for things like the buttons and switches in the Extension Warehouse and Extension Manager from red to blue when they released 2021. You can see that in the desktop icons, for example.
This isn't my doing. It's just the way it is.
No hidden message that I'm aware of. Trimble is just trying to pull all of their branding together.

I am sorry Dave. I was just thinking about the times, Red and Blue states. It was an off the wall remark and doesn't belong in this forum.

Ahhh.... I see. That red and blue. Fortunately in this case I don't believe there is anything political implied.
