Just trying to get a set of finishes on a broken egg in Twilight render. Not meant to be a render per se, just checking mats and finish.

I'd be concerned if my egg whites were so foamy and yolk needs more orange IMO

I think the foamy look might simply be a result of Twilight's poor (in my opinion) ability to render liquids and translucent materials well. It looks like it's the very edges of the egg white are nice and clear, and then it gets blurry/foamy the further from the edge you get.

I think a white backdrop behind the egg would solve this problem quite nicely...the egg white material is picking up the pinkish background behind it and refracting the light weirdly. I'd be interested to see the same materials on white!

                    Thanks Bryan.

Pete, I was sure I had done so sorry. I'm going to clean it up and post it later today. I cannot get the file to below 5.3mb.

Twilight render has the ability to import KT materials or also benefits advanced internal layering system to generate complex materials. You can make two different materials, one foamy and one clear, and mix them using the masking and apply to egg whites.

Thanks Majid, thinking of ways to include different shapes within the egg white. Model here for those who want it. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/st-happens-9df0cb94b17a4221bd48ba9d8f225b11
