I do believe this is what SketchUp was made for. The color palette, the line settings, the shadows. It was made for anime, not just arch viz.

I've noticed in anime in recent years that they are using more 3D instead of hand drawing for scenes and machines and I've thought it looks a lot like SketchUp.
