Can't get shortcut to work

Setting up new computer. I am trying the same shortcut I had for Component edit/ hide rest of model toggle. It looks OK--same as I have always used. I am using option-H. But it doesn't work. Seeing if the system has a similar command, but don't see it.
what can cause shortcuts not to work. This is a PITA to try to work without that one!

As a test, can you get it to work with a different keyboard shortcut?
