Hot off the press, D5 render engine
-
Hi all, I just found a new render engine (D5 render) Looks like a combination of raytrace and raster with pbr materials and IES ligting. Have not been able to find out much about it exept for a few short vids. I am pretty sure it is very new as the oldest vid I can find is only 22 hours old. looks pretty good but I have not had time for a play as yet.
The free download is in the youtube as a link.
I wonder if 2020 is the year of the real time render engine wars all fighting for market penitration?

Interesting after a bit of research it seems the D5 is based on 'Unreal Engine' knowing the Chinese I bet they just tore apart unreal engine and made there own version of "twinmotion" I wonder what licensing agreement they have:)

I have to stop watching those vids, does nothing for me, too disjointed and random.
No English language support and my graphics card is too old. Oh well, next on the list who knows.

Damned! A GTX 1060 minimum is necessary!

Yep, damn shame. The first international language version will be launched shortly. from the horses mouth.
