Is there a way to make clipping mask over an object and model view port in Layout? Say, i have a view port with a shape of material hatch over it, and i want to make clipping mask over both of the object to show a partical detail of it.

So far i can only creat clipping mask over a viewport. But it won't work with above case.
      Thank you in advance.

Clipping masks only work on SketchUp viewports. I would copy the shape of the clipping mask and paste it onto the same layer as your drawn shape with the hatching. Use the Split tool to split the shapes where they intersect and then erase what you don't want.

Here I've done exactly the above.
