Hanging light shape

Can anyone advise me on creating this kind of shape? Really appreciate for any help on this.

You can go the way Box described on the SketchUp forum.
You could also try modeling it by making the basic structure and apply a modifiers extension like Eneroth Fractal Terrain Eroder and after that apply Artisan Organic Toolset (there are other organic toolsets / extensions you could look at as well) to it to get that organic look.
