A little bit of background here...
Lots of great info in that article - I'm most excited about the idea that Twinmotion could act as a link to Unreal Engine. One of the things I really struggled with with Datasmith was that the process was very complex and clunky - If Unreal can get Twinmotion set up as a tool where you can easily set up materials, etc, then export that into Unreal for full on effects rendering, that could be ultra powerful

I agree Justin, so far I tried a few models and they worked really well and EASY. So far a win-win for us.

Before I go in and create an account just to see the site... Can someone tell if TwinMotion is for the Mac?

Yeah i haven't noticed much and the support seems a bit limited.
There is a youtube channel though which may be worth checking out?

Seems there will have in no time a specialized forum here!

I'm a user of Twinmotion and one of the things that has always been subpar is the lack of a true manual. In previous versions there existed printed directions for things. In the 2019 version, Abvent only had short videos for instructions. No speech, just try to see where the mouse is going and figure out what was happening. I am sure this was to avoid creating a printed manual in several languages. Lumion in this respect is far superior. That being said, Twinmotion is very easy to use and the results are quick. I think the acquisition by Epic is great and that Twinmotion will get much better (it's already good) with their level of support.

... an embarrassing question you have to register there before downloading Twinmotion - did that work for you and if yes, how? I canΒ΄t get it to work ...
I went to the login page, filled in all the informations, chose a password, confirmed not to be a robot and clicked send - well, now I expected to get an email, but nothing happens... -

prima - I think my facebook access would have worked as well, but I'm never sure if I want to grant any provider (or unreal in this case) unlimited access to all my contacts there...

recently downloaded Twinmotion. So I compared it to twilightrender, which I am using for almost 10 years. result is impressing: Twilightrender took half an hour, with 9 passes in preset#9 , Twinmotion took 1 minute. I am not happy with the lightning, but 10 years experience compared to two days, the result isn't too bad. Looking foward the possibilitys in video and VR... little postpro in Photoshop CC

I have some questions:
I worked a lot at textures at my model. now I want to change the texture on a single surface to another texture. Is that possible inside TM? Is it possible to reimport to SU?
-
Hi Jo-Ke - yes, editing textures within Twinmotion is possible - even in a remarkable extent through different material property channels. I do not know whether a "play back" to SkUp is possible ...
(below my older SubD scooter, acting as test model, fully retextured within Twinmotion)

Yesterday I worked with twinmotion untill night and renderd my first 3D 360 pano video in 4K for oculus rift. Ok 20 seconds took 7 hours to render but the result is impressive.
I have many new ideas
What a nice app. I was waiting for it for years
