Max conversion to 3ds

hi, i'm looking for a way to convert a 3ds file into one that is usable into sketchup.
Please. -
I use Simlab Composer. Import 3DS/Export skp The version I have is fairly old but is compatible with SU version I use, SU8. I'm sure the newer versions work the same way.
