In the model settings i can change the way how similar comps and the rest of the model are displayed when i edit a group/comp. To isolate a single comp, both options have to be activated. Is there a plugin that that lets you toggle both options at once with one shortcut?

            Ok, i got it working...
I just copied the structure of some other plugin, so i don't know if this is the correct way to do it. But it's working.
There is only one problem: it doesn't check the actual display status, so if one of the two hide options is already active, the function will be messed up.
For me it's working, but i think the more elegant way would be, if it could synchronize both options.

I tried to place the entry in the existing "Component Edit" submenu, but with "add_submenu" a second entry is generated. Is there a way to add it to the existing submenu?

on windows you can use this - put is as a menu under 'View' so you can assign a shortcut.

Yes, it works! Very cool. Thanks!

Is it possible to add it to the "Component Edit" submenu?

unfortunately not, sketchup just adds a duplicate submenu. however if you open the script, you can move it from 'view' to anything you prefer.

Yes, i noticed that as well. Anyway... it just would have been a bit more clean and organized. But that's really a minor thing.
Thanks again for your help! πŸ˜„
