Here's a little machinist's jack I modeled up this morning for the heck of it. SU and LO 2019. For reference, the body of the jack is 55 mm tall. Screw threads are 16mm x 2.

πŸ‘ wonderful again - especially this diamond flute (didn't you recently post a thread cutter(?) with it too?) is perfectly done. I also want to deal with how to model such a perfect thread πŸ˜„
How was the cut drawing with the grey filling made?

Thank you, sir. The diamond knurling was used on the handles of the tap wrench I drew a few weeks ago. I also used it on a little brass pin a couple of years ago. In fact, it's the same knurling components. πŸ˜„

The fill on the section cut is just done by turning it on as part of the style. This is a feature of SU2018 and 2019.

A certain someone suggested I should make a render of the jacks so I did. They are brand new. One waiting for assembly. This accounts for the lack of scratches and grime. πŸ˜„

Do you mean you're still trying to figure out how to model the screw threads?
