UV mapping not transfered.

I replace an already existing material with a two sided vary material made from the original applied as both slots of the two sided. The mapping scale, position etc changes. How to stop this happening?

first image, original, second image, crop in section shows new double sided out of alignment and wrong scale.

I worked out a way, cannot select individual materials but need to select the whole groups material then just replace in the respective channels. Not always easy to select the whole group material so can export as a proxy then can easily select group material from proxy.
