Scene Manager by Curic

Take a look at the [REDACTED], making some headway into scene management! SU2017 & SU2018 (pro) only.

Oh man I've been waiting so long for something like this. I've not been able to find any documentation as yet (although it looks fairly self explanatory). If I find anything I'll post it here.

I can't find a way to get it to save my folder structure upon closing and opening the same model.
I'll Open an existing model, organise the squillion scenes I have into the relevant folders in the scene manager, then save the model, close sketchup and reopen the same file.
All the scenes will be laid out as one long list as they where when I first opened scene manager.Am I missing something? there's every chance I 'm using it wrong.... I feel like I'm missing something with regards to the "PREFIX" settings.

I got the "Curic Tools" collection from them, it includes the section tools and the scene manager (amongst others, check it out, nifty stretch tool they have) it's working fine on my end...

Looks Great! Now, can it transfer scenes to another model?

I have not tried that recently, certainly not with this extension. I think Eneroth has something that does just that...
I used to have a template SU file set up but that resulted in a bloated file to start off with, and I ended up having to change / create scenes anyway, so the workflow changed somewhat.

to update, it works fine now. I'll have to assume it was me doing something dim previously.
The days of infinitely smashing the tiny scroll arrows and accidentally closing my tray are gone. -

Any idea what you did to make it work? I am having the same problem currently.
The scene manager also does not remember the order of scenes I reorder after reopening.
Oddly, I can use "Reorder Position" which does change the order of the scene tabs to match the "Scene Manager" positions, but upon reopening "Scene Manager" is back to the original locations! The scene tabs remember the new location, which is pretty useless.
Thanks!

Thanks!! Looks impressive...!

Hey,
Anyone find a solution to why the Curic scene manager won't remember the order or grouping of scenes upon re-opening the model?
Also I cant seem to find the Curic Layer manager.
Curic doesn't seem to answer these questions unfortunately.v skp19

According to the entry for this extension in the Extension Warehouse, it is only compatible with SU2017 and SU2018. The author lists a Facebook"fanpage" and group under his picture in the Extension Warehouse. You might try contacting him through one of those links.
BTW, your profile indicates you are using SU8, please update it. That information helps us help you and if it's correct, you don't have to add it to your posts.

Was anyone able to solve the scene organization reset to default problem? I'm using 2019, I know it's not compatible but I would love this plug-in and hope someone found a solution.

Since the author doesn't seem to be weighing in on this thread, maybe you should try contacting him directly at [REDACTED]

To preserve the organization of scenes, close and reopen the scenes window before saving and closing SketchUp. This also works if you're having problems with toolbars and trays not holding position.
