I have a model from 3Dscandata. The ceiling from the building is made of thousands of faces. Is there a way to significantly reduce them?
This model is not workable. It's an ifc export from Revit.

The first thing I would do is run ThomThom's CleanUp3 and let it erase coplanar edges.

It reduces the filesize, but the small faces are not coplanar. So it did clean some stuff, but not enough to make it workable.
Is there a plugin that makes 1 face from faces that are next to eachother and with an angle below some value?

You might try TIG's Drop Vertices or there's an old one called Face Flattener which might do the trick.

Looking at that Image I would simply delete the selection and make faces between what appears to be a radial array of beams.
