Keeps rendering after render is done

Vray finishes the render, and then keeps doing god knows what for about 10-15 more minutes after the final pass has finished.
I'm at a firm, so I've opened several different projects on several different computers, and they all seem to exhibit this new behavior. The only common factor is the version of vray (3.60.01)
It's annoying because a really fast test render gets done in 30 seconds, then takes another 10 minutes after the render is complete, and must finish before another render can start. there is no way to stop the render at the point between it finishing, and this strange wrapping up time.
Has anyone noticed this?
