    Layout 2018

    Hi,

When I try to open a layout file a popup message says 'External component has thrown an exception'
All other layout files seem to be working fine for me.
Is there any way of determining what went wrong?
I have established the time the file became corrupted and have opened the last version of the file that opens without issue.

    Thanks

What was different in the reference SketchUp file between the earlier version that would open and the one that showed the error? Any chance your model contains components you got from an external source such as the 3D Warehouse?

This is an interesting message you are receiving.

Would you be able to send me the LayOut file so that we could look into this?

        Thanks

As far as I know there is no discernible difference in the two files between the earlier version and the one that won't open; I haven't inserted anything from warehouse.
I have a master model in sketchup 18 and have 10-12 layout files with reference coming from this. The external component has thrown an exception has only affected the one file of these - I have been updating model reference in all of the them as I go and the rest open and work fine.
A few lines from cad have been inserted into some layout files previously by again days before this problem occurred...

Sorry about that I did not make that connection. That crash #1673 is related to a re-render of a SketchUp viewport so I will add this information to the issue.

Just to be clear you received this error message with that crash?
