    Hi everybody.

I am searching for some information regarding converting and saving car models I found on the net for the Sketch Up 3D Warehouse.
I found some really great models of recent cars like Audi, Bmw, Renault and Peugeot to name a few and I'd like to convert them from obj. or .3ds, etc., etc. and save them with the rght size (max.50Mb) to share them for the SU Community.

Do you have any idea or hints?

Thank you so much and looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, POLFUS.

Check Instant Meshes . It's a great tool to reduce polygon sizes and retopology with lots of features.

It only imports/exports .obj and .ply files but it's free!

Also check this tutorial for how to setup textures afterwards in combination with Blender software.

Thank you all πŸ˜„ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

Any tipp also for the.max files? Or shoudl I simply convert them?

And I noticed that the more I reduce the mesh number, the more the model starts to be rotten, with parts missing, etc, as I tried it in Rhino.

            Any suggestion regarding that?

Thank you so much and wish you a nice day!
