I have drawn an oval dome in sketchup that I want to slice with slicer5. When I select it and click on the slicing tool, I get the message "selection must be one group or component instance." I don't know what that means. Can someone help me figure out why it does not slice? I will upload my file. Thanks.

You need to read up on Groups and Components.
But triple click on the oval to select all of it, right click and select Make Component, then use slicer.
