Small Green Box in scale tool

Hello everyone.

I'm new in Sketchup Ruby . . Programming

can anyone give me a head start on how to make those green boxes appear temporarily when I click the scale to to an entity?( in ruby script )

and also I noticed when I hover the mouse on the green boxes , it changes its color . . .

your tip would be of big help . .

i tried your advice but the codes written by the sketchup team. the thing is, The ruby scripts are incrypted written by sketchup team. I found this Eneroth scale tool which its ruby script shoulb be helpfull but its just incrypted .

You are in the wrong forum. (This is a specific project forum which is really a dead project.)

Writing tools in SketchUp Ruby would mean you have to draw these kinds of boxes yourself.
(Meaning, the native scale tool is not exposed to the Ruby API. So you would need to write a clone.)
Search the main Developers forum for Ruby tools. Or read the examples that the SketchUp Team has in the Extension Warehouse.

The team examples are not encrypted.

What file are you attempting to open? If you are trying to open the .rbz file, that is a zip archive file (i.e. compressed) just relabeled so SketchUp recognizes it. You have to unzip it and open a specific .rb file within it. If you see .rbe or .rbs files in the unzipped archive, then they are encrypted ruby.

As I mentioned earlier, .rbz is just a renaming of .zip. You may have to change it back to .zip to get unzip to recognize it.

I found the solution. .

the file won't give a readable code . . when downloaded via Google chrome . .it should be downloaded through extension warehouse . .

Going back to the small green cube in the scale tool. .
( i already know how to make colors for the cube )
