HI there..This is my first post in the forum and would really appreciate some help. I'm using SU make 2017 and have modelled a canopy that will be contructed from stretch lycra and be printed on. Some of the panels are curved and I would like to flatten them so I can create a cut pattern and be able to export a 2d scale image for printing. The objects are skinned using curviloft and so far any attempt at using the normally recommended extension/plugins(flattery, unfold, unwrap and flatten faces) has failed, as has my attempts at manually flattening these objects...Anyone that can help me with this will be my personal hero!thank you

Why don't you just get lycra fabric dimensions and design according to it? (it'll be printed before stretched, right?)

If you designed stretched3D shape (the canopy), i think it won't be possible to unwrap/unfold without weird cuts.
      Example:

        Rule Number one! 🤓

Post at least an image of your problem! ☀
And better even an SKP file in format V6 ! 🤓

Will be much better for a more large audiance! 😉

PS If for any reason you can't post directly on the forum post them anywhere and link it!
