Nvidia crash on vector render
-
I'm suddenly getting a crash in Layout when I try to change the SKP model into a vector for DWG export.
The model is tiny, I've tried to save it as 2013 and change the hardware acceleration but the tick box isn't there on SKP 2017
I'm on windows 10
Copied from Nvidia web site about erroro 6?
*OpenGL "Request for more GPU memory than is available" Meaning
Answer ID 3553 Updated 10/06/2016 06:11 PM
WHAT DOES THE OPENGL MESSAGE “REQUEST FOR MORE GPU MEMORY THAN IS AVAILABLE" MEAN?
I have seen this Event Log Message:"An application has requested more GPU memory than is available in the system. That application will now be closed."
What does it mean?
The most common cause for this issue is that the application exhausted the resources available to it in the GPU. It can also be caused by the application sending to the graphics card a command stream that cannot be broken into small enough pieces to be processed.*

Which Nvidia card? How much memory does it have? Are its drivers up to date?

True. Disabling Hardware Acceleration was an option in older versions of SketchUp which dumped rendering duties back to the CPU. It was useful on computers with GPUs that weren't up to the task. That option was removed with SU2017. That means the GPU must be up to the task.

Is it possible there's a bad component? Possibly something you got from the 3D Warehouse? I've seen some cases where a component that came from the 3D Warehouse caused LO to crash. Most of those events were on Mac but there were a couple of cases where it was happening on Windows. Might be worth a look.
