Oh my! what an adventure, good luck mate.

You are doing what I dream I had the courage to do, just recently watched a documentary of a retired couple doing something similar in Alaska.

All the best and please keep us posted.

Sounds great! Sort of the way I spent my youth, but my abodes were not as nice as you'll have. Off grid is great! The internet will find you regardless! Looking forward to the news. Happy New Year and best of luck!

                              All the best, Baz!

As Box said; Richard might be your best bet on this forum; he's down that way [closer than me anyway]

If you're building on wheels.I assume you're towing it so it's only going to be 3.0m wide or there abouts to meet Main Roads requirements of vehicle size. Also there are heights to be aware of so I'd definitely do some initial investigation with Vic Roads....

Re: building codes/standard; AS 1684 Timber framing code and the NCC Volume 2 are building bibles in Australia however you're not really building a 'building'; you're building a caravan!!
Don't know much in the way of movable housing but I'd suggest there would need some number crunching done on movement, weight distribution, etc.

BTW, interesting article about a couple winning the right to keep their 'tiny house on wheels in their yard'...

What you see here is a cutting edge living space. And yes, it is cosy in winter and hopefully cool in summer.

Or did you mean just small?
Which is a very different thing.

As a clarification, cosy equals snug and easy to live in. Not more than you need.

The subtleties of a language are always an exciting thing!
Someone like me has to use deepl.com or similar to distinguish the words and their spoken and understood meanings to decide then to use it in an English post - that has often "gone in my pants" here ๐Ÿ˜„ but luckily is being asked here and can be clarified then...

I love this mobile Home and for me it is "gemรผtlich, behaglich, wohnlich" which is all, a home has to be ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜†
Impressive for me about this small Home is that in it can be accommodated a fully staircase up to the sleeping area as a clever combi-furniture for storage space. The selection of the outer aluminum material is also smart because in this shape and color (RAL 9006 ?) available everywhere and so, if necessary, easy to repair...

so almost finished - I am looking forward to photos then ...
