Filter selection by what you can see

I am looking for an extension that would prevent me from selecting the parts of the model that I cannot see.
There is one by Renderiza called iSelect that worked quite well but the last version it has been updated for was SU 2013. Thus it does not work in 2017 or 2018.
Does anyone know of any extension that does that and has been updated recently?

Iselect works perfectly in 2018.

It is good to know that. But I could not make it work. What is your workflow with it?
edit: I got it! You make your initial selection then go Extensions>Renderiza Tools>iSelect and only the stuff you see gets selected.

Preselect from the eyeline you want then click the button.
