Since the most recent Windows 10 update (using 2017 Pro), the select function (from single line to large groups) has developed a 5-10 second delay between click and highlight. All functionality suspended in this time.
Tried installing 2018 pro this morning on the off-chance that it wasn't a problem on the new release, same thing is happening.
I have tried changing the priority for sketch-up and dwm.exe to Real-time from Normal priority, this improves the delay to a steady 8 seconds.

has anyone got any idea on a fix for this before I lose my mind ?

What graphics adaptors are there in your computer? You might try updating or rolling back the graphics drivers. Intel graphics drivers seem to cause many of the problems other users have with slowdowns like you describe. There are other possible things to look at. Some depend on the answer to my question.

Are you sure that the Nvidia card is being used for SketchUp? Many users have reported that the Intel HD graphics get assigned to be the default during Windows updates.

              Hi Dave,

worked it out. It was an issue with the primary display.
Latest update unchecked the primary display setting, result was using intel card for everything.
sequential disabling got it NVIDIA back in the driving seat.
Thanks for the quick responses earlier !

Yes. That's what others have reported, too. I guess it would be a good idea to check that after Windows updates.
