Dunno if this is spoof or real...
I tried to download free trial, it sends back to the 2017 version
Hope there will be other improvements, but section cuts fill would be great !

General impression based on this .au page- practically nothing

Yeah doesn't seem to offer much for the typical SketchUp user. LayOut improvements might be appreciable (though I doubt it would tempt me to do my serious drafting in LO), but if you are not into LayOut or BIM...
Well we'll see.

Turns out it's a fake page.

Especially for suffering juju, Trimble Brazil leaked 2018 promo vid (new features start at 1.38):

Haha. Nice one!
-
If somebody wants to see deleted page with information about SU 2018
-
Sure do hope this is fake. If this is true it's even worse than expected.
SketchUp only gets advanced attributes as a new feature???
IFC export/import we have already and sections we already have with the Skalp extension. -

IFC export currently defaults back to IFC2x3 even if you imported and used IFC4.
I have SKALP as well, so this is a little disappointing, however there are a great many users who do not have it. I wonder what the native support would look like? Let's hope they bought SKALP and incorporated it.
Advanced attributes? Very useful as well! Let's hope it is not a rumour.
I'd love to see the DWG import in LO, useful!
Also, let's hope some of these are Pro only (obviously improvements to all except SU is pro only) to differentiate more between the two.
Anyway, I guess we'll have to wait and see for the official release.

I thought we'd at least get the release before the first complaint.

Some guys at Trimble are having a good laugh reading this forum, I am sure of it

Probably. Let's hope it isn't a nervous laugh...

I think it's that laugh that tells "let them roast, we'll have some fun and then, after we are done, we'll release the new version...eventually"

How did you came to conclusion its fake?
I guess the page was 100% authentic, they simply posted it too early.
Gooogle Street shows its Sitech ltd. address- AU distributor of Trimble stuff.

To lure people in buying a tampered software with injected code, maybe?... I know I sound paranoid and pessimistic, but it was just a theoretical hypothesis.

I thought that as well when I saw the site -
I'm pretty used to lack-luster sketchup releases at this point, 2017 was my favorite with just faster and better looking models. I've never used scalp and filled sections would be great!
