Helpful plugin (if exists?)

There are plenty of nice models out there on 3dwarehouse but they mostly have texturing or scale problems.
Texture problems include:

• texture is applied to wrong side of the face (backside) or
  Groups/components are textured directly and the texture is not given to faces inside them... that makes texture placement adjustment inconvenient and time consuming...
  Some faces have textures on both sides....
  There are different materials in a single group and this would be problematic when you export the whole group as a proxy.... VRay will assign just one of the materials to the whole subgroup....

Scale problem:
some groups/components have been scaled so when you export proxy and re-import it ... everything is messy...
So
if there is such a plugin to solve aforementioned problems?
Would any code masters help to provide such a thing please if there is not any at the moment?

Thanks a million and seems that I must have a look on how they work... By the way if there is any other single plugin to do such a job?
