I am in 2017 SU Pro on a Windows machine running windows 7/64

I pick my scenes and save them in the SU file - setting up these scenes means turning on and off appropriate layers to make visible what I want visible and turning off layers that do not need to be on for a certain scene.

I open LO and import the scenes, BUT since different scenes required different layers for visibility the scenes I save first are now ruined because layers I turned off are now on, even though when I created the scene the layer was off.

So, now, in LO none of my scenes are look the way I want them to.

How do I get a scene to stay intact regardless of layers that I turn on and off? I could export as a 2D image, but that ruins the functionality of LO.

What is the correct workflow for achieving what I'm trying to do??

      Please help!

      John

Thecorrect workflow is to use layer manager to turn on/off wanted layers on scenes and then on scene manager untick and tick back on the layers property.

Untick makes SU erase any layer data on scene, which makes current layerstructure active each time you change to that scene.

Tick layer property to save current layer state to the currently selected scene.

You can only access these properties through the advanced pane on scene manager (plus sign on top rigjt)

It sounds to me like you're missing something in the process because if you were doing everything correctly, this wouldn't happen. I also expect the fix is going to be pretty simple. Could you share a LayOut file that exhibits this? If you don't want to make it public, send it to me by private message or upload it to Drop Box and send me the link.

In the scenes manager, make sure "visible layers" is checked, select the layers you want visible, then update, then save. If not, each scene changes with the current layer selection.
