Sketchup (Make) Printing
-
Is it just me, or does it seem like Sketchup (Make, I guess -- the free version) generates print jobs to split even a small drawing across multiple sheets? Sometimes, it seems that no matter what I do it refuses to put it on a single sheet, and if by chance it does, it scales it too small. I've tried every combination of the "Fit to Page" and other options. If it is just me, maybe somebody can suggest what I'm doing wrong. I do woodworking and use Sketchup quite a bit, and usually the projects are simple enough and small enough that they would legibly fit on one sheet of letter-size paper.

If the size of the pattern fits within the printable margins of the paper, it is possible to get it printed on a single sheet. You need to adjust the proportions of the drawing window to be close to the printable area of the paper and then use Parallel Projection, a standard view showing the pattern and Zoom Extents to fill the drawing space with the model. Have a look at the video here.
