Hi, I want to export sketchup component ( rounded edges or meshes) to cad without showing hidden geometry. I made soften edges but it is still not working and the result for the exported column is many lines as you can see from autocad picture. Please do not tell me it is not possible as I was able to hide the lines when eporting to cad from 3d studio max and it would be tedious to switch between many programmes just for one task.

Your profile indicates you are using SketchUp Make. How are you exporting CAD files from Make?

Edges are edges in SketchUp. It doesn't matter whether they are softened or hidden. They are still present. This is not 3DSMax.

Perhaps he is using AutoDesk's free Skp to Dwg AutoCAD plugin.
