Noob help with Sketch
-
Hi,
Noob here (sorry!).
I'm getting to grips with Sketchup and have started to build projects but have hit an issue with the latest one. I've been designing a tiered cake stand (exciting I know!) that I'll be intending to make out of 1/4" ply. The round tiers are in, as are the stands that slot in the middle to form the cake stand. The problem I am having is to remove the sections where the stand uprights pass through the centre of the tiers. I can subtract two of the uprights from one of the tiers but it leaves me with a tier that is no longer a solid. Solid Inspector is flagging problems that need to be corrected manually and that's where I get into a deeper muddle!
If anyone is able to give me any advice or solutions that would help solve this I'd be very grateful.
Cheers
