Extensions in preferences has disappeared

Can some one tell me why extensions under preferences has gone from sketchup 2017.
Im wondering how i can install an rbz.
I have read an article in the sketchup help that says, as before go on preferences/extensions and locate the rbz etc
However the extensions tab has disappeared in this version of sketchup.
Also when going into the extensions manager and search for this or many other plugins they dont exist.

Go, Window/Extension Manager and use the Install Extension button.
Sorry, just realised you are on a Mac, so I don't know.

It's the same on Mac, now. The button is in the Extension Manager found inn the Window menu. The article you were reading refers to older versions which many people are still using.
Since the majority of extensions and plugins are available through the Sketchucation Extension Store and the Extension Warehouse, you should use those for installing all extensions available from these sources. Then you don't need the Install Extension button.

Thanks Dave
Got it
My other gripe is when searching in Extension warehouse it doesn't find the plugins you want.
I dont know whether its a case sensitive thing or you have to type exactly the name.
See the example section cut face and it doesn't find it and this seems to happen to a lot of plugins i search for.
Or maybe its because the signature has expired.
Please let me know your thoughts and thanks again for your time.

Try the same search in the Sketchucation plugin store.
Tig doesn't have his plugins in the extension warehouse. -

ZI'm curious as to what it is that gave you the idea that all extensions would be hosted there. Especially since I'm sure you've gotten extensions from Sketchucation.
You should install the Sketchucation Extension Store found under Resources at the top of this page. Then let it install extensions from here automatically.
