Is there any way to change how LO exports pdf? Various programs can't import the PDFs created in LO.

What are you trying to import to?

You can change how LO renders each model instance... from hybrid to raster to vector.
I use vector for shop drawings, hybrid and or raster with architectural drawings, depending on what I'm trying to achieve.

This comes from another of DJH's threads. He can't get his copy of CorelDraw to recognize fonts in his LO exports. I've tried his files in other programs that read PDFs and haven't had any trouble.

What you see for PDF export options in LayOut are what is available to set.

From what I understand of Layout it doesn't embed fonts, there could well be a font licensing issue! I've had this issue with some fonts when exporting from Indesign in that the font license wont allow it to be embedded and I have to create outlines of all text before export. The reason it may work for you David is that you don't have that font on system so font substitution is occuring. Where on DJH's machine the same font is trying to be dragged in! Layout doesn't seem to drag up such warnings again as fonts are being embedded!

So for DJH, I'd try a different (standard system) font to test if this is the issue!

Richard, I'm sorry, I'm not so pc savvy. How may one try a different (standard system) font to test if this is the issue?

Change the font in your LayOut document and export to PDF.

As Richard points out and as has been shown elsewhere, it's possible that the problem is due to licensing of the font you are using.
