Editing one scene
-
Hi there,
Im new to sketch up so I'm probably asking a stupid question!
Ive built a model for a steel job I'm doing and want to create multiple scenes to illustrate dimensions of the various pieces of the job. The problem i have is that when i add a dimension (created a layer and made visible) to a new scene, it adds the dimension to all previous scenes. its driving me mad having to go through previous scenes, unchecking layers and updating the scene to only show the layers i want.
Im aware I'm being a noob!
Any help would be awesome - Many thanks

The best thing to do is plan ahead and wait to create scenes until after you've created ALL of the layers you need. But all is not lost. there are several extensions that will allow you to create layers that are off for all existing scenes except the current one.
One example would be JF Add Layer.
FWIW, I see by your profile you are using SketchUp Make. Since you are using SketchUp for your job, you need to be using SketchUp Pro.
